StudioHOME is the new name, since March 2025, of Studio Shed, the Colorado company that has shipped more than 6,000 prefab buildings. It sells panelized ADU kits that arrive flat-packed and go up without a crane. Finished Summit models run from $98,029 (308 sq ft) to $191,523 (1,000 sq ft) plus installation, and shell-only kits start at $44,304.

What a StudioHOME ADU costs
Each Summit model shows two prices: a finished model with interior, plus installation, and a shell-only kit for buyers who will finish the inside themselves or with their own contractor. Site work, the foundation, trenching and utility hookups, and permits are extra. A competitor's estimate put a 476 sq ft build at about $240,000 all-in.
Installation and timeline
Buyers can install it themselves, use StudioHOME's network of certified installers, or hire their own contractor. The process runs through a site visit, design, a permit set with a structural engineer, 4 to 12 weeks of permitting, 2 to 4 weeks of production, delivery and 1 to 2 weeks of installation. No crane is needed, which helps on tight lots.
Warranty and financing
Models carry a 1-year manufacturer and workmanship warranty, after which vendor warranties apply. Financing is offered through a Figure home equity line, with fixed rates advertised from 7.25% APR for well-qualified borrowers.
