What a Dvele home costs

Dvele's prices are for the finished modules, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, finishes, fixtures and appliances, at roughly $200 to $275 per square foot. Delivery, site preparation, the foundation, a crane, installation, utility connections and finishing work are separate, and Dvele puts design and permit costs at $15,000 to $100,000 on top.

You hire the contractor

Dvele requires a general contractor for site preparation, installation, permitting and finish work, and has a preferred-contractor network in some areas. Its preferred lender for construction loans is The Federal Savings Bank. Solar and battery storage are offered as options.

Timeline

Dvele describes 6 to 12 months to move-in: 4 to 8 weeks of land assessment, 4 or more weeks of permitting, a production slot, 20 to 32 working days in the factory, delivery, and 2 to 12 weeks on site.

What changed

Dvele moved its headquarters and production to a 220,000 sq ft plant in Mesa, Arizona, and is prioritizing factory slots for Altadena fire rebuilds. Blu Homes is now part of Dvele.
