What an Azure ADU costs
The published prices are factory prices. Delivery and taxes are estimated at order, heating and cooling are extra, and the owner handles permits for the foundation, grading, drainage and utilities. Azure recommends a perimeter concrete or block foundation. A $250 refundable deposit holds a pre-order.
How long it takes
Printing takes days. For an ADU, Azure describes 2 to 4 weeks for a site plan, 8 to 24 weeks for permit approval, 4 to 6 weeks of fabrication and site work, and about a week for delivery and installation. Azure handles the building permit for the unit as a factory-built home.
Warranty and durability
Azure offers 10 years on materials and workmanship and 15 years on the UV coating, which it says should be recoated every 15 years. It rates its units for 150 mph winds and says they meet California's Title 24 energy code. Independent long-term durability data for 3D-printed polymer homes is still limited.
