How much does a Plungie cost?
Plungie quotes on request. Its April 2026 guide to concrete pool costs gives the category ranges: a precast shell at $20,000 to $35,000, installed at $40,000 to $54,000 or more, a crane at $3,000 to $10,000, permits at $450 to $1,800 and electrical at $1,500 to $4,000 or more. Those are Plungie's own figures, not an independent survey.
Weight and crane access
Plungie publishes dry weights, from 14,600 lb for the Studio to 25,600 lb for the Max. That is what decides the crane size and where it can park, so share the figure with a crane company before you commit. A pool that has to be lifted over a house costs more to set.
Warranty
Plungie's warranty page lists 10 years on the shell, 3 years on the interior finish and 1 year on equipment. Its Los Angeles page and its terms document say 10 years on the finish too. Ask for the warranty that applies to your order in writing.
Plungie in Los Angeles
Plungie runs a Los Angeles program and notes that a pool there needs an LADBS building permit covering structure, electrical, plumbing and the barrier. California counts any water over 18 inches deep as a pool, so the state's drowning-prevention and fencing rules apply to every Plungie model.
What we like, and what is worth knowing
What we like
- A 20 x 10 ft model, large for a one-piece precast pool
- Published weights for every model, which helps plan the crane
- A 10-year structural warranty
- A Los Angeles program
Worth knowing
- No published price
- Plungie's own pages disagree on the finish warranty
- You organize the installation yourself
Choose Plungie if
- You want the largest one-piece concrete plunge pool
- You are in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Arizona or Texas
- You want a published 10-year structural warranty
Look elsewhere if
- You want a price before a call (Soake)
- You want someone else to manage the whole install (a fiberglass dealer)
How Plungie scores

Get your yard checked by a local pool contractor
Crane access, excavation, the pad, electrical, fencing and permits decide most of the gap between a pool price and a finished backyard. In Southern California, the Bay Area and Greater Seattle, we can introduce you to 2 to 3 licensed pool contractors who can walk your yard and price that part.
