Moda Outdoor Living is the trade name of Moda Design & Build Inc, a backyard design and build company with an office on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills. The company holds California license #1102152 in three classes: B, General Building, C-27, Landscaping, and C-53, Swimming Pool.

The work is almost all outside the house: custom gunite pools and attached spas, pool remodels, travertine and porcelain paver decks, outdoor kitchens with built-in grills, pergolas, composite decks with cable or metal railings, aluminum slat fences and gates, and landscaping with turf, planting and lighting.

Projects shown on the company's site include a pool and spa with a stone cabana fireplace in Silver Lake, a pool with turf-inlay paving in Santa Clarita, a hillside view pool and composite deck in Rolling Hills, a pergola-covered outdoor kitchen in Beverly Hills and a slat privacy fence in Northridge. On a pool with a raised spa and a turf-inlay deck, ask how the deck will drain and where the equipment pad and gas line will go before the layout is final. Those two items decide a lot of the cost and are hard to move later.
