Risk-free remodel
Also called: risk free remodel, fixed-price milestone remodel
A risk-free remodel is a renovation contract structure that locks the design and the price before demolition begins and releases every payment against a verified construction milestone rather than a calendar date. It combines a Pre-Build Lock with a five-stage payment schedule of 10, 25, 25, 30, and 10 percent.

In a risk-free remodel, the payment due at rough-in is released only after the rough-in inspection passes, not because a date on the calendar arrived.
